Intermed Sdn Bhd (Intermed) is a supplier of oleochemicals and specialty products. 

It develops acid esters from natural raw materials such as vegetable oils, fatty acids and fatty acid alcohols as 

well as synthetically sourced fats and oils.

In 2003, Intermed Sdn Bhd formed a joint venture with IQL Lasem Spain called Lasem Asia Sdn Bhd. 

In 2011, the company and operations were integrated into Intermed Esters Sdn Bhd.

Fatty acid esters are marketed under the IMEX brand. The full range of Halal, Kosher, Ecocert and 

NON-GMO certified fatty acid esters are being used in various applications such as food, pharmaceuticals, 

cosmetics, textiles and more. The customer relationships established by the management and marketing 

teams of Intermex with their extensive experience are aimed at further expansion and development, 

doing business in partnership with customers worldwide.
