Hairlux are the dried branch tips and leaves of Lateral Cypress of the family Lateraliaceae,
also known as cypress leaves, from cypress leaves, flat cypress. Originally published in "Shennong Ben
Cao Jing", it is bitter and astringent, slightly cold in nature, and belongs to lung, heart, liver and large
intestine meridian. It can cool the blood to stop bleeding, clear away heat to stop coughing, dispel wind
and dampness, disperse swelling and poison, and produce hair.
Effects:
Ⅰ Promoting hair follicle organ growth
Ⅱ Anti-inflammatory
Ⅲ Antioxidant
In vitro hair follicle organ culture with 0.1 mM (0.002%) minoxidil as a positive control, the elongation of hair follicle organ in the Hairlux group was higher than that of the blank group in 7 days, which could promote the growth of hair follicle organ with hair growth efficacy.
Hairlux could inhibit the secretion of inflammatory factor TNF-α by macrophage RAW264.7 cells, and the higher the concentration, the better the inhibitory effect, in which 0.05% of Hairlux inhibited the secretion of inflammatory factor TNF-α better than the positive control group of dexamethasone (10 μg/mL (0.001%) DEX + 2 μg/mL LPS), which had a good anti-inflammatory efficacy.
Hairlux inhibits the SDS-induced decrease in SOD secretion by keratinocytes and has antioxidant effects.
