The effectiveness of Saltidin®
Based on a large number of laboratory and field test results, Saltidin® has demonstrated continuous effectiveness against the following insect species: Mosquitoes: Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus, Aedes vexans, Culex quinquefasciatus, Culex pipiens, Anopheles stephensi, Anopheles sinensis, Anopheles barbirostris. Flies: Housefly, Stable fly, biting midge, horse fly. Ticks: Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes scapularis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Others: Sandflies, Culicoides, midges, parasites, etc.
Due to the good toxicological properties of Saltigo®, the recommended use rate of this active substance in insect repellent products can be as high as 20%, and there are no age restrictions, making it safe for use on children and pregnant women.
Consumer Product Categories
Saltidin® can be easily formulated into various forms such as liquids, compressed gas sprays, manual sprays, wipes, creams, or lip balms, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Depending on the concentration, the active ingredient can provide protection for 3-5 hours (10% formulation) and up to 14 hours (20% formulation). Formulations with less than 10% active ingredient can also offer short-term protection.
Ongoing Testing
The toxicological properties of Saltidin® have been extensively evaluated through a series of agreements with close cooperation from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). To obtain the most reliable and consumer-relevant data, all studies included the application of products containing Saltidin® on the skin and measured the lethal dose. No negative results were found in any relevant studies.
