Digitata kelp is a brown algae that grows along the North Atlantic coast. Rich in polysaccharides,
mainly alginates, it belongs to the genus Kelp and is well known in the food and agricultural industries
for its gelling properties. Rich in polyphenols and minerals, it can also be eaten in salads for mineral
supplementation and strengthening.
Kelp (Laminaria digitata) Seaweed extract is obtained by filtering the seaweed after a long maceration
and stirring in a mixture of glycerin and water. The kelp we use comes from a source washed with high
quality water from the Iroise Sea in the heart of Brittany.
